Loose Slider - My Thoughts

Hello all,

Just been thinking about sorting out my loose slider.

Had a look at various sites and you tube that show how to fix it. I was going to have a go but have decided not to.

Why?, well its one of those niggly things that I don't like but its not actually hurting anything. It's not making the phone look worse, it's not stopping any of it's functionality and it doesn't appear to be causing any damage.

In short, there are more important things to worry about!! Like the battery life!!

Just my thoughts.

NOKIA has made a new slider that works perfectly - it's available as a sparepart to NOKIA repair centers.

I had mine replaced a few months ago and it's been perfect since then.

Maybe you can have it fixed under warranty? - just check with the service center that they have the new version of the slider (it's the white plastic part that has been replaced with a slightly thicker one as far as I know).

Yep - I took mine into a Nokia Warranty Centre and the slider has come back and feels much better than before. I should warn you it was a bit of a fight to get them to fix it. Five weeks and sent back four times to the local centre.... Be persistent.
