Connection with Livebox

I have had Orange broadband for many years. At first I used an Alcatel modem, then a Speedtouch one, and now I have Livebox.

With the first two it was possible to disconect from the internet by clicking on the blue icon in the taskbar, but this does not work with Livebox. Is Livebox supposed to be 'always on' ?

The live box is always on.

If you wanted to disconnect from the live box, you can go into your network adaptors settings on your PC and select disable or disconnect the network adaptor that is connected to the live box.

You may have a icon on your task bar (depending on how your PC is set up and O/S) like 2 computers. If you click this icon it will show how you are connected to the live box. If you then click on the connection it will open up and one of the options will be to disconnect from the network.
