Hi there

I changed my name by deed poll in September and then was involved in a car accident, and was in hospital for a while so I couldn't inform t mobile of the change of name, at that time I also let the bills slip and my account was suspended with a £300 bill

I paid the bill on tuesday 11th and it was showing on my account as of yesterday, but my account is showing an outstanding balance on my t mobile of 0.00

but more importantly I faxed my change of name across on tuesday 11th and i went to get a replacement sim from the t mobile store, and they asked for i.d and i said i only have i.d in my new name

how long does it take from sending a fax to the change of name on my account as I can't get my sim delivered as i won't be at home over xmas

many thanks

I would double check regarding the FAX, as i cant see ANY company accepting a FAX as proof of name change, 2 valid proofs, sent in with a full covering letter, is about industry standard, changing identity is Red Alert these days, no matter what the reasons are for!

I faxed across a covering letter, a certified copy of my deed poll document and a photocopy of my passport in my new name

it's ok the name has been changed on my account as I faxed across valid proofs
