Can't get IMAP working over O2 GPRS

Web works with both GPRS and WiFi
IMAP works with WiFi but not GPRS??


Phone is a p1i, IMAP is Gmail, I setup GPRS via O2 config text received when I first turned the phone on. Not tried pop3 yet.

Hi there,

I had the same problem, and discovered the GPRS settings were wrong. I had some "WAP" settings, which allowed the web browser to work but not any other programs.

I ran the "internet wizard" on my P1i and it changed the settings to these:

Account name: O2 Mobileweb sy
address: mobile.o2.co.uk
un: 02web
pw: (concealed, but I've seen elsewhere that it is "02web" or "password")

With these settings the e-mail client works on a GPRS connection, where it didn't before.
