View Full Version : How good is the Nokia turn-by-turn upgrade compared with standalone product?

I have trawled the threads regarding the Sat Nav options on the N95 so apologies for starting another. One question that I still have lingering is whether the upgrade to turn-by-turn on the default software is a viable alternative to purchasing a standalone product. I haven't come across any real discussion about this upgrade. Does anyone know the pricing for the license upgrade?? Does it provide the same 3d like mapping view of the standalone products??

I have a 8gb N95 being delivered tomorrow and if the turn-by-turn upgrade isn't a real competitor to a standalone product I will order Copilot today.

Thanks for any help.

the upgrade to full voice guided navigation will cost you £50 for 3 years, but you can try it for a month for only £5 which is a good idea if your not sure. use it for a month and see what you think. hope that helps

Many thanks for the heads up on that, I didn't realise you could purchase such short frame licenses.

if you have the latest version of maps, you can actually have a 3 day free trial, without having to enter any card details.
