Hello everyone, I recently decided to go back to a pay mothly deal and as I wanted the Samsung G800 I looked at Voda and O2 and decided Vodafone was best for me.

Firstly the phone was delivered to an incoreect address and this took 2 days and 1hr 34 mins on the phone to resolve.

Then, when the phone finally did arrive I was sent the phone and sim package but also a contract sim only which I had never requested or indeed shown any interest in. I called cust services to activate the phone and advise them of the unwanted arrival. After 3 mins under 2 hours I was told that the phone was activated but I had to call the returns department another day to arrange collection of the sim only - I havent had time to do this yet as I am sure most people struggle to allocate 2 hours in a day to make calls to correct other peoples mistakes.

I also noticed that I an unable to download many ringtones and games, or even access some of the sites. Again, without exaggerating at all I spent over the course of 5 days at least 3 hours on the phone to customer service carefully explaining the situation however it took the full 5 days and hours of calls to be finally told that vodafones systems are not totally up to speed with my new samsung and that it would be sorted 'at some point'.

To me I find it slightly disturbing that a company can sell a phone which they cannot fully support. Never mind explain to their customers the situation.

To cap everything off I have been onto the 'My Account' section of vodafone live to find that I have been charged for 3 tones I have never downloaded.

Do I have any recourse, because I am very disspaointed and feel that vodafone find I ok to take your money yet struggle to justify it.

Your comments much appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Hi TimManc,

It does seem like you've had lots of problems since you first came to us as a new customer and I'm really sorry for the problems you've had. It's quite unusual for these types of issues to arise normally and new connections would run smoothly, but from time to time things may go wrong as with any company.

I'm sure there's something we can do to help with this but we'd need to look at your account. If you send us an e-mail using our Vodafone online contact us form here (https://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page_Help_ContactUs&pageID=PCU_0002), include the code FIT135 somewhere in the body of your e-mail so it comes to us. We'll then take a look at your account and try to resolve this with you directly.
