I was just on the nokia site, and put my n95 product code into the software updater, and it says version 20.0.13 is available for my phone.

Yet when i connected the phone up to get it, it says i have the latest version; 12.0.13

I'd have thought my product code would be directly related to the 3 network version of any update? Or have i missed something?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section also.

I have this question also, v20 is out yet when you use the Nokia updater it says the latest for the (three branded) N95 is v12.

I think there are certain handsets (ceck the code under your battery) that are register with certain service providers, eg. three, and three must not want the update out for whatever reason. I guess they probably don't want people updating their phones, but if thats the case then why would nokia offer you the ability to update it yourself? surely three would know people may do that?

What was your product code on the phone, i have just entered my code and I am told the lastest version for me is 12.0.13.

I dont want to unbrand the phone as I fear I will not able to use soem of the 3 programs on the handset as this happened when I used generic firmware for my K800i.

yes my phone code also resulted in nokia confirming that v12 appears to be the latest, I presume this is because three want to tailor it for their services and restrictions before releasing it.
