i second this. what is up with o2? we have 3g phones, let us use 3g services, FFS!!
a 3g phone with just, well, video call is nothing special, we are being conned into buying these 3g phones, WHAT ARE THEY FOR (apart from the obvious)?
 if o2 carry on like this we may aswell go back to paper cups & string.
it really annoys me that technology is possible & it is there, but people like o2 are killing this industry by preventing customers using it. it's a joke.
my 3g phone let's me do everything that a GPRS phone does plus video call. big F**king WOW. it's supposed to be called a video phone but i think o2 are blocking youtube aswell.
whats wrong with you o2, our money not good enough for you, eh?
:tired: :(

And Orange So 2 Out Of 4 Of Them Are S**t
Yes I agree, O2 has to start embracing the new technology available, instead of lagging behind the other networks.

I have emtube on my nokia phone. works okish. just okish because o2's data speeds are terrible even in HSDPA areas.

explain this to me... i have the youtube java app on my phone - can't download anything (blocked?), yet, using bywifi mobile wap site, just enter the title, takes you to you tube, make your choice, then it transcodes it for you into 3gp download, evrything ok
it's the same file, so why?

If you're using the wap.o2.co.uk APN to connect, it doesn't support DNS lookups, so some websites won't work. Try using mobile.o2.co.uk APN (settings in a previous post) and it'll probably work fine.
I think.

nah, it works with the wap, but not through the java app (connects to internet gprs/3g).
other things like google maps & opera mini (also java apps) work fine. is you tube blocked? it makes me laugh that i can get it through a wap site and get it transcoded for me
