Here's one for you all to ponder over.
I've had the 95 for around 7 months now with no problems. I've done all the usual stuff like flashed to euro1 and firmware. Anyway the other day I upgraded to V2 with no problems. The phone had a 512 card installed with loads of stuff on it. I upgraded to a 4 Gig card and formatted it, the problem started when I took some pics and saved them to the card, the camera froze and the screen went black, then the screen came back on but changed colour and flickered ( a light green colour ) then this was really strange, the screen moved from right to left then back to normal, when the menu button was pressed the screen again went black. I've done all I can like removed the card, battery, sim and done a hard reset and still the above happens.
There you go that's your lot.
Cheers
Nick

Best thing to do is find out your nearest Nokia service centre for repair. You're covered for 2 years if it's an European model.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I've unbranded the phone so Nokia won't touch it, I've looked on youtube and alot of people are having the same problems. I think the bin is the best place for it.

how is unbranding going to affect the warranty?

Many people have unbranded their phones and had no problems with Nokia repairing it. Just note Nokia don't brand any phones, it's the networks that do. Nokia is not going to keep track of which phone is branded. ;) If you think about it... Nokia probably prefer their phones not to be branded as it can cause more problems with the firmware than the generic one.

Nokia do track phones when they you upgrade the firmware. When the nokia updater first came out it said that when you upgrade the firmware it logs your phones ime and what firmware it installs.
I am not sure if it still states this in the updater instructions or how it actually affects your warranty with nokia. It does also say in the nokia warranty that changes made the phone can void the warranty.

Definitely worth a try though as there is nothing to lose. I know the terms but sometimes its there for guidance rather than strict enforcement of the T&C. Many have reported no issues with warranty even though they changed their firmware.

Nokia will not refuse warranty because you have used a tool (NSU) that they have supplied for you to use.
Most Nokia Service Centres (NSCs) in the UK are run by the Carphone Warehouse who get money from Nokia for every repair they do.
As its almost certainly a hardware fault they would be on very dodgy legal grounds refusing a warranty repair on grounds that you have changed the Product Code.
Don't forget too that the Nokia Warranty terms do not affect your legal rights. Even if you have voided the Nokia 2 year warranty you still have legal rights to a product that doesn't break after 7 months.

Throw your phone in the bin, if you didn't break it, then nokia has to fix it, warranty.
So you removed your operator branding, on the grand scale no one really cares, nokia will probably not even bother to check what firmware your using. Just ensure you put your product code back to the original & either send it to nokia or visit a service centre & let them sort it. Some centres make a fuss about things & some dont but to be honest i doubt they check firmware versions, just show them the issues & they'll probably do something regardless the firmware.
I gave them with a three frimware, but they upgraded it (well downgraded, it came back with d o2 firmware as the phone is originally o2). They didn't fix my camera issue though.
If your still throwing the phone, i'd like the have it please :) :o

if you think uve voided u warrenty and too scared to be refused u may be able to claim under insurance (if u have any). or if worst come to worst u can proabably pay to have it repaired by an independant company or i think Carphone warehouse do out of warranty reapairs for like £45 because i was tempted to have my phone repaired rather than sending it out on insurance (£30 excess but it put future excesses up to £60) as it would be cheaper in the long run if i payed to have it repaired then if i eva lost the phone to get a replacement phone.
