downloads from Planet3 on Non-3 phone ???

I've just spoken with Three CS who told me that if i register my non-3 phone with them (using my current 3 contract) I'll be able to use planet3, and download games, etc. So long as the phone isnt registered to another account, or stolen, etc.

Has anyone else heard this before ?
what do people think of the feasability of this ?

as soon as my phones unlocked i'll be trying this. I dont think it will work personally. I did mention about the certificates error when trying to download stuff from planet3, and was told it wouldnt be a problem once my handset is registered.

I think that this is probably feasible when it comes to downloading videos, ringtones, graphics and for streaming (eg tv) as you just need the 3 settings which you can obtain but games and apps are different as they require certificates which are built into the 3 firmware.
