Memory problem

Hi everyone

Someone has sent me a multimedia message but I can't retrieve it. I have tried switching off and on, deleting loads of stuff but I still get the following message on power up

"Memory low. Unable to retrieve multimedia message. Close some applications first"

I have no applications open either.

Can anyone help?
