Ok, here we go....

I've got an HTC TyTn II (NOT the T-mobile version, this one is SIM free and not tied to any mobile company)

When I inserted my t-mobile sim I got the auto set up and had my HTC up and running on the t-mobile network within minutes.... now here's my question...

How the hell do I get Mobile TV working? It must be possible as the UK tmobile site states that the Vario III will use Mobile TV (the Vario 3 is a rebranded TyTn II)..... so, any techies out there with an answer?

More Info: I've got a N73 with which I subscribed to Mobile TV with and it works a treat (sim is not in the TyTn II). I've also notices that if I goto the tmobile site (www.t-mobile-favorites.co.uk) I DONT get the TV tab on the front page..... could this mean the TyTn isnt supported?!?!?

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

Well Mobile TV does not work on my Vario II which has been uprgaded to Win Mobile 6.

T-Mobile have never answered my enquiry on this one.

Think you need to change your User Agent to get it to recognise the phone. See here: http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/hermes-black-rom-support/10471-t-mobile-mobile-tv.html

theres a file on xda developers called browser.dll, it tricks the tmobile webpage into thinking youre using an n95.

a search here should help you

if all else fails, goto www.xda-developers and install the t-mobile rom

ye delmonti t-mobiles web and walk site will only activate the TV tab when it recognises a t-mobile imei number. your best bet to try and trick the service is looking on www.xda-developers.com

The above information is incorrect, I have an unbranded handset on t-mobile and it works fine

i wasnt referring to a branded handset i was referring to an imei that t-mobile have recognised on their system. T-Mobile have added a range that are called "handset free" which are unbranded and added to the system.
