downgrade question

I have had my phone for 12 months (18 month contract) and believe I can now downgrade. I am on Video & Talk & Text 700 for £35 a month and would like to change as low as I can as I don't use the phone any more. I think you can move one tariff a month down or 4 down for a £25 fee - is this correct? If so what would the tariffs be, They have changed the structure so I am not sure what would happen, and would like an idea of what I will be offered before I phone.

Yes, you can downgrade. More that one step at a time would result in a £25 charge. I believe the lowest priced
tariff is £25 per month.
