It mentions in the fair use policy that 1GB is thier limit is this a realistic amount for say browsing through forums or checking up on the news every few days? Also it mentions that roaming charges apply. How far do you think I could travel about say the UK. Just the city I connect in or a larger area?

You can used the 1Gb anywhere in the UK. Technically, the plan you are on is for handset use only, so that would make it unlikely you would go over the limit.

The fair usage seems to be lax and I don't know of anyone as yet being in trouble. Their policy is that if you exceed it on a regular basis you may well be warned - further breaches and the speed will be reduced and you may well be asked to take out a higher value plan.

As capacity becomes an issue (as it is in some places) they may well tighten up.

Roaming (Abroad) is a different matter £7.50 per Mb
