Is anybody else having problems with the Nokia Map Loader? A few months ago, I downloaded Version 1.2 onto my PC and successfully used it to load the UK onto my SD Card by inserting the card into my PC card reader.
I have just run the Map Loader again and it asked me if I wanted to update the software to version 1.2.1, which I did.
Now every time I select a country, it down loads the map ok but when it try’s to copy it to the card it errors saying “Connection to the storage medium has been interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry”. I have also tried by connecting the phone to the PC using USB in “Mass Storage” mode and it errors the same
So I then went back to version 1.2 but it still errors?
I know the Map Loader software can see the card as it checks for it as you start the software, so why won't it allow me to add any new maps?
When I was able to successfully put the UK maps on my card I had installed the Nokia Maps application onto my phone separately as the then firmware version did not include it.
The version I now have on the phone was included in the firmware version 4.0735.3.0.2 which has the Nokia Maps application built in, so I don't know if that has changed the file structure on the card or something?
Also when I run the Map Loader software shouldn’t it show that I already have UK maps on the card? I know I have got the UK maps on the card successfully as I can browse with the data connection option turned off.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Jason
