N95 8GB Landscape Screensaver?! Annoying anyone else???

I cant see the point in it! And for the user to not even be able to turn it portrait or landscape is stupid. Anyone else annoyed by it??

And the way it flashes up landscape before switching back to portrait, its just ugly! I liked it portrait as i could quickly see if i had a text message waiting but now its sideways i cant read the time, date or anything!

Im thinking a 3rd party screensaver app thingy is the way forward for the time being, anyone got any ideas?

I do have to say that I find the landscape screensaver a little odd. I thought it might have been changed to portrait in the upgrade to V11.
I use a 3rd party screensaver with a large analogue clock and that is displayed in landscape, although on my N95-1 it's in portrait.
The only time I find landscape useful is at night when the 8GB is charging in the desktop stand and I'm lying down.
I would prefer the option to be able to choose.

Apparently it is not a 'bug' its a 'feature' hence it didn't get changed in the firmware upgrade.

can't see the point of it being landscape really, just makes it a pain when you unlock the keypad, and takes very slightly to unlock too as the screen has to switch to portrait.

I've just got a new N95 8GB and found this bug/feature is quite annoying. Does anyone know of any setting that might have appeared recently to allow the screensaver to be set the right way up?

we need a screensaver thats already on its...right? hand side..so at least it will be portrait but that won't solve the slow unlocking problme as it will still change back to portrait

I'm the opposite.

I have an N95-1, and having seen my mates N95-2, I would prefer to have my screensaver landscape. I guess its not an option for the N95-1?
