It looks like Amazon have slashed a wedge off the price of MicroSD cards for the run-up to Christmas. Mainly through their approved retailers. Also they now have the 8gb to pre-order at a good price.

Defo agree that you can get the 8gb cheaper on pre-order, but some of the other prices will take some beating!

Yep o2 are advertising a free 8gb card with pre-loaded maps in their current catalogue - so I presume the 8gb must work.

I ordered mine from the sandisk shop above which stated they had them in stock and guess what...they've been "Allocating stock" for the last 5 days and no-one is answering the phone or bothering to ring me back via the call-back function.

So I guess they didn't have them in stock :mad:

I'm hoping they get their "new" stock the same time as everyone else does otherwise I'm going to be cancelling the order and goinging someplace else.

Same here. When I checked on their website it said "In Stock". So I placed my order on the 30th. Its been a week now and they are still "allocating" the stock they don't have.
I sure hope they are gonna honour the price they 've put there. I dont mind waiting for one more week if the price is right. What I am afraid of is that by the time they send it to me the normal price for a 8gb card will be £47 or less.

DONT shop with Sandisk shop, they are lyers! I emailed them asking about stock quantaties, and they told me they had them in stock, so I ordered...

a week later, I still hadnt recieved it, and still hadnt been charged. So I emailed them asking what was going on, they said they were waiting for stock, and that they were getting the stock on Wednesday. I cancelled the order, and got it from Amazon. Should be here 2moz as it was posted out on thursday.

Thats one of the problems with Internet advertising. Once the word gets around they are inundated with orders which they can't fulfill.

I've had similar problems with other small online retailers. If everyone keeps it a secret then nobody will know about it. It's a no win situation. :laugh:

I have now cancelled my order with the sandisk shop. The two phone numbers I have for them are now registering unobtainable and they haven't called me back even though I requested a call-back several days ago.

I've checked that they haven't taken any money and so I'll go somewhere else.

If you still have an order outstanding with them, I would be worried - especially if they have taken money from your card.

I take the point about being busy at Christmas, but this is soooo bad I would certainly recommend people don't use this vendor as they seem incaperble of fulfilling it!

I placed an order with sandiskshop.co.uk last Saturday for the same 8GB card. Still says processing and cannot get through on their 3 call numbers either (All unavailable). Unfortunately they charged my bank account immediately. Is there anything I can do? I really want to cancel the order now but cant see where to do that. I have asked for call back numerous times and have emailed them too but no reply or callback yet. "I gotta bad feeling about this"!!

Well apart from physically going to their offices and knocking on the door, I'm thinking you have to wait a bit. I would personally be talking to my bank as well to let them know that you have a dispute with the vendor and may need to be taking it further.

fyi - once I had cancelled mine, I went to the slightly more expensive Mobymemory and got the card delivered within 48 hours. That's the sort of service that wins customers. It also came with a reader that fits nicely on to the keyring, which I have put my old 2gb card in, so I'm happy.

No, I didnt ask them. I wouldnt get the truth out of them anyway.
I just noticed that when I log in to my account in sandiskshop my order does not say cancelled. And they havent sent me a confirmation email like they said they would.
This is getting a case for watchdog and trading standards. Avoid them.
