They charge because you are using data on thier network, you say its free elsewhere? You mean like at home? Not really as you still have to pay for your broadband..

If you have x-series silver its easy to get the bbc radio stations via a real player stream included in your data usage, no extra tv pack required

For example, find a real player *.ram file on your PC, open it with notepad and change the context to
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra
then save as a new filename eg BBC Radio 1, then transfer onto your phone into the video directory i think.

open it up and bobs your uncle

can you stream any radio station if you have a internet add on with a nokia real player phone.

Not sure about Internet add on as thats not the same as x-series silver. It works with x-series silver.

Anyway yes you can stream any .ram (real player link file) on the nokia real player. But it isnt as simple as going to the BBC's website and clicking the link I am afraid. You need the url for that ram file which will end in .rm
Another program you can use to stream radio stations which steam in mp3 is lcg jukebox (it isnt free though).
Anyway below are the .ra links you need to paste into a .ram file as i stated before.
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/1xtra/live/1xtra_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio2/live/r2_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio3/live/r3_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive-acl/ev7/live24/radio5/sportsextra/live/r5sx_tl_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/6music/live/6music_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/bbc7/live/bbc7_dsat_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive-acl/ev7/live24/radio5/live/r5_tl_g2.ra
rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/worldservice/liveinfent.ra

My comment wasn't a dig at you or your list - i was refering to the lack of those stations on planet three's streaming radio service. Sadly, i can't do realaudio streams on my LG-U880 either. Shame.

Or just point your browser to this website. Works for me, lets me stream every BBC radio station and use the listen again service. All out of my data allowance, but you'd have to be using it a lot to go over the gig usage.

You can use the official bbc .Mobi site

www.bbcradio.mobi

It works perfectly with my W910i

Glad I could help.
If you go to this link you even get the 'hidden' radio stations...
