Hi guys, pulling hair out here. How the hell do I setup my N95 to use the 3G network when being used as a modem from my Laptop?

I can connect to the bog standard GPRS and get connected at 44Kbs which is pants clearly. Laptop sees the net and so on.

There must be a way to make it use 3G? Anyone have any tips please? Login details and connection details would be very helpful!

Thanks
Tony

02 have crap coverage when it comes to 3G!

You prob don't have a 3g signal hense the reason why your getting standard gprs speeds!

Hi have the EXACT same problem and is not due to network Problems i have a 3G sim that worked in my old N70 but when i put it in my Nokia N95 nada, bugger all. My friend is standing next to me with his o2 N95 contract on 3g and mines not got 3G. I do have a Sim Free phone so it may be due to o2 adding it only to phone produced by o2.

Please get back to me.

make sure that your phone has utms and gsm selected under the networks menu!

It may be set to use GSM only. Failing that call 02 and ask if your 3g enabled.

When you do get your setup sorted I'd advise you monitor your usage to avoids any extra costs - unless you have some kind of unlimited deal (and even then I'd make sure there are no conditions or that it really is an unlimited deal)
