Hi,

Can i ask anyone that has a 3 contract to log into their "my 3", my account, then recent bills and have a look at the current spend section.

If you have spent anything, is there a minus sign in front of it?

I am asking because I took up an 18 month contract which is all half price, then on the 7th month (this bill) it jumped up to full price. I called 3 yesterday, they said they would look into it, got a text today saying it has all been ammended.

I looked into my 3, and it says my current spend is -£210.00, (note the minus sign) so i need to know if this is £210 cedit to my account, or if they have added £210 they are going to charge me for. I would phone and ask, but if its to my credit I will keep quite. :)

Cheers.

They have applied credit to your account (probably the half price line rental if it has not been processed as a discount on your bill. They have applied this as one bulk credit by the looks of things. Dont worry about the - symbol it just means you are in credit by £ 210 so you may be able not to pay anything for a few months then pay the remainder at full price.

Weird, I paid off my contract early with my credit card which was a total of £244.55 but my spend does not have a minus next to it!

Current spend
Since your last bill you've spent £244.55 *

Please be aware that your current spend will exclude the monthly charge for your price plan (or any add-ons you might have) and may exclude some recent charges to your account.

That is weird but if you have a negative amount showing in my3 it means that your account is in credit and this amount will be deducted from your bill or subsequent bills. There have been other people on this forum who have had there half price line rental applied as one bulk credit, you may also receive a negative if you cancel a add on part way through a month due to the refund to the unused portion of the add on or if 3 make adjustments to your account.

Acoolwelshbloke, how did you actually come to pay off your contract early and more importantly if you have paid that amount and it is also showing as your current spend there is something wrong if you have already paid it.

I wanted rid of the contract, i was told i have to pay £244.55 in order to give my 30 days notice! The £244.55 would be the total amount due with regards to any remaining term!

In all fairness she practically begged me to stay offering me lower price plans etc...

But I said no and i was adamant i wanted to cancel, my call spend was £0.00 but that changed once she debited my credit card...

That is what my 3 was showing once she took my payment!

That was 30 days ago mind you, my line terminated yesterday as planned however I have not had my final bill as of yet! (which should be zero as no chargable calls were made during the 30 days notice period!)

I have another contract, £15 a month which was for 18 months! I paid that line rental in full via bank transfer from the start and my 3 did the same with that contract! once the bill gets generated however the balance shows a zero balance unless you make any chargable calls etc... but the credit still shows on the invoice!

Maybe they have made some changes recently?
