i have had this phone for a few days now and absolutely love it though am having one problem. When i go to pages like bbc news (for example) rather than getting the proper version i get a crap wap version my old N80 used to have a web browser and seperate wap browser but cant find anything like that on here any ideas and advise would be gratefully recieved.

The N95 only has a single web browser, and it reports itself as a 'Nokia' browser (among other things), which sites see and redirect you to a mobile page - not necessarily a WAP one, actually. Nevertheless, there's no way to conclusively stop it, but most mobile pages will give you a link to the full version, and you can bookmark that version if you like.

For the BBC, go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/ on your phone, and look for Preferences at the bottom of the page. You can then choose what version of the site you want; I like the PDA version myself, but you can choose the Desktop version. You can then navigate to BBC News and bookmark it.

Also, using Opera Mini might give you access to desktop sites, since most don't recognise Opera Mini's user agent and don't know it's a mobile browser.

for the bbc site, even if you have the link to the desktop version cookies can overide this link.

If i go to the bbc sport site, i can't get to the full version of the news site without deleting my cookies. it is quite annoying!

Yes, it's free! - go to http://www.operamini.com on your phone or your computer.

The latest version of Opera Mini has been released and is excellent IMHO. I love the fact it loads an overview of the page very quickly and you then zoom in on the area you want to look at.

Yep - v4 seems much more stable and usable for me on the N73.
