I was just un-installing a program on my n95-8gb and it crashed my phone. It wouldn't let me do anything so I had to remove the battery. When i put the battery back in, and turned it on, the phone only gave me a white screen. Nothing would work.
Luckily I found a tip on a forum to hold '*' '3' and 'answer' key when booting up. This has reformatted my phone though, so now i have to reinstall EVERYTHING again, and i'm not happy at all!
Also, I have now lost my key for Spiderman3 movie, anyone know how to get that back, or if i have lost it forever?
This is a bit of a joke to be honest, the phone is about 3 days old, and i haven't installed all my software to warrant making my backup yet.
Just thought i'd vent, and also i found the *, 3, and answer tip to be quite handy!!
Cheers!

Sadly Spiderman movie is gone forever. I done a hard reset and the activation key disappeared. The movie is DRM protected and without the key it won't play.
For others I would advise them to do a backup as heard this will allow you to restore the key required to play the movie just incase something goes wrong with your phone. No biggie for me as I can encode my own divx movies. I use Coreplayer.

Yeah, I have a mac and thats pretty easy to convert movies, but i don't have an original copy and it was nice having it, maybe i'll just have to acquire it! :)
But i'd agree with you, and warn everybody else to backup their devices now, before you lose precious data.

Use backup with caution and only restore to same version firmware.
Make sure you install to your phone mem and not the 8Gb storage mem.
I am currently checking out the responsiveness of the 8Gb model, but, so far it appears to behave in the same manner as the classic.

I've had the same problem with my N95 from day dot. Sometimes messaging would crash, I would have to remove the battery and then the phone would fail.
After a few attempts, it does eventually boot up... annoying as hell though.

3 days? Complain, send it back and get a new one with the activation key on it...

Well it just thinks you've got an 8gb card in so I'm pretty sure it'll be the same rules as before.
