Both Orange and T-mobile accept evidence of over 18 in their stores and they will phone in a confirmation to remove the bar.
Try a Voda store.

Some of the things that mobile phone service providers do silly? Never:laugh:
Anyway, you can ask for the bar to be lifted when you take the contract so worth remembering for the future.;)

I rang Voda to report my faulty handset, and i was asked at the end if i wanted the restriction lifted, gave no details of any i.d etc, the operator just asked if i wanted it gone and done it!

I received a letter from Voda saying they know I'm over 18 so will have access. Haven't tried to see if it's true or not though.

To remove the content control on a Vodafone account you can either:

Call customer services on 08700 700191 (or 191 from a Vodafone handset) and make a £1 payment on a credit card, £2 will be credited to your account when the payment has been made.

Or

Visit a Vodafone retail store with two forms of photo I.D.

This feedback was noted internally after it was highlighted to us by customers.

As off today we have updated this system to remove the content control and currently you will not have to make a payment over the phone to remove this bar.
