Anyone had good upgrade/retentions deals from 3 on the Nokia N95?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone had been offered any good deals from 3 on the Nokia N95?

I've just put my notice in because they wont do any deals - only what's on the website.

they carried over my contract details from my old n73 , and kept the monthly payments the same with my xseries gold..i was not going to give up my 500 mins 200 texts , free internet ,free football, video calls, mms, etc on the grounds that the package was no longer available...
if your not happy then email the executive head office fao kevin russell , they contacted me and said no way are they looking to loose customers ,and what could we agree on..

i just ordered this today on the 500 mix & match as an upgrade phone is free but on an 18 month contract, but thats no biggie

Are you willing to send me your phone number so I can try and get a similar deal? - i've spoke to retentions and they insist such deals dont exist and will only do me one if I can prove someone else has them.

I've had this contract with them for nearly 30 months - an original 18 month and then extended by 12 months. (I was with Orange for about 10 years before that). I also have 2 other contracts with them.

£33, I know its a bit more than others, but I was 3 months short of full 12month time, so i realise my deal would probably not be as good.

Goodbye 3, hello Vodofone!

Well I tried, with all my might, to get a N95 out of 3 for a reasonable price on a 12 month contract...no joy. I didn't want to spend anymore than £35 a month, which meant that 3 wanted £220 for the handset?! Pretty disappointing after being a loyal 3 customer for 4 years. Times have changed since they gave me my N80 free on a 12 month, 6 of those at half price.

So I got my PAC and off to the nearest vodofone store I marched. Walked out with a nice new black N95 8Gig! Cost £100 on a 12 month, £35 a month, for 500mins and 250texts. Granted the 3 plans are better value and their data rates are a lot better but I'm pretty happy with this deal.

PS the N95 is a massive step up on the N80 in every respect except the screen resolution is smaller....not as sharp. It's going to take 7 days for my number to port over, but from my initial playing with the N95, I love it!

Sorry to say g'bye to 3, but they need to get real!

Yeah, it seems 3 has pretty much abandoned 12 month contracts - the site doesn't even give you the option anymore, they are just 18 months.
