View Full Version : Getting sub pin code to work on T-mobile
I got my sub pin code from T-mobile and thought I would soon have an unlocked N95, but, the code didn't work.
CS then informed me that some N95s can't be unlocked?
Anyone successfully unlocked on T-mobile? What instructions did they give?

Yes, I gave them my IMEI number and after about 5 weeks the code came by letter from T-Mobile. Entered the code as per the enclosed instructions and it unlocked no problem at all. (got the £15 cost refunded as they took so long to send the code.)

I remember your previous post.
I didn't get any written instructions, just a phone message because it took them nearly 8 weeks and I complained. Any chance of recalling the instructions?

OK here is the exact wording...
"Please find the unlocking sequence for the Nokia N95 mobile telephone. the unlocking code for IMEI35................................. is 273...............(15digit no.)
Switch handset on whilst T-mobile sim card is fitted in phone.
Press the # key once
Press * key 3 times to display p
Press * key 4 times to display w
Press * key twice to display +
Enter subsidy pin code
Press * key twice to display +
Press 1
Press the # key
Your phone should show that the unlocking sequence has been successful. However , if your phone displays an error message like `CODE ERROR` or `WRONG CODE` etc please try another networks Sim card in your handset to see if the network can be selected, before giving us a ring.
Please be aware that you should only make 2 attempts to unlock your phone. Were unable to guarantee that all of your mobiles features will work with another service provider. If you have any further questions about your subsidy PIN please contact us."
That essentially is all of it, As I said my phone unlocked first attempt.. Good Luck...!

The first code that T-Mobile sent me turned out to be the wrong code. A couple phone calls to CS later and they sent me the correct code.
I now have a nice unlocked n95

Went right back to T-mobile, but their CS is less than satisfactory at the moment and I got nowhere.
I am thinking of going down the dodgy unlock route. Don't like the idea but I need to use the phone abroad on other networks.

When you got your unlocking code + instructions there should have been a phone number near the bottom of the letter.
This is the number I phoned and got it sorted quickish (2 days)
