Help needed guys

Hi guys
i really need your help,
my girlfriend reformatted my 2gb memory and now im having problems with going on the internet using wilan,
it can detect it and but when i try to load up a page it says unable to connect, wilan not connected. i have tried to delete the connection and reconnect it all over again but i keep getting the same msg popping up.

also after she's done that ive noticed that i have no maps on my fone anymore,
i tried to use the gps n it located me but its says there is no map,
i thought the map came pre installed with the fone.

if i can get my wilan to work,
can some one pls tell me the link on where i can download the updated nokia maps directly to my fone.

When a mem card is formatted you loose everything on it and you had your maps on it.
Download from nokia.com.
Card format will not remove your WLAN settings so methinks your phone was formatted as well?
Check with a wifi scan. This should show whether you have your previous connection still there. If not the phone should a new connection automatically.

To reinstall the maps on the memory card, you can down load the nokia map loader programme from the nokia web site below.

You will need to make one connection on your phone first to the nokia map programme, before the map loader will copy the maps to the memory card.

Install the map up loader programme on your PC then using a card reader run the up loader and select the maps you want to copy onto the mem card.

my fone is recognising the wilan,
but when i try to go to a web page it says unable to connect to wilan,
so im abit stumped at the moment

You got me stumped on this one, the only thing I had to do on my router was to enable the pairing mode to enable the the phone to connect to the router.

What make of router are you using as this might help others to try and help you more.

im not sure if it is the router, as i had this paired up with my fone before
well the modem/router is from BE internet company, not sure wot the make is tho

try using using anoter network like a friends 1 or at work? at least that will let you know if it's the router or not...

Check if the router has security enabled (WEP or WPA) you need the passwods else it wont let you do anything.

my router has a wep which i have already put the password in
but still get that msg popping up sayin unable to connect, wilan cannot be found

seems funny as when i scan it locates my router fine.

so puzzling
