I've been with O2 online for the past few years and i've been quite happy but then again i've never really had a reason to contact them until last night.
I upgraded earlier in the week, phone free of charge, right tariff and delivered to me at work - DHL, even though their website said £30 for the phone and we only deliver to home addresses.:)
Charged the phone up last night found a line running down the display. Rang their returns department. Can swap it next day, now Monday, BUT only at my home address, told them no one would be there, could they deliver it to work? No, they use Parceline for the replacements. Asked to speak to a supervisor/manager, non available. They said they could drop it another address, BUT not my work address, no good everyone we know works and mine and my fiancee's parents live miles away. Just your typical call centre "we have a script and thats what we're sticking to" Get Flexible!.
It's not the 1950's the days of single wage household are long gone!
Parceline won't swap at work as it was taking too long to find the person with the item to swap. So arranged for a swap on Monday as there was no other option but to do it the O2 way.
So on Monday Parceline are going to make a wasted journey to my home address where they will leave a card for me to call and either arrange for them to deliver to work, Unlikely!, or for me to trek to who knows where to collect!. That really does make sense!
They have actually emailed me the parceline tracking number which when you put into their tracking system comes up as being delivered to someone in January 2007!
The Customer is King I think not!
