Hi,

I just got a new nokia from O2
but I am not able to connect my SKY broadband with phone
I got Netgear wireless mode (which comes from sky).
I got SSID,Network Key & Channel and there is no security on my broadband or modem.
Do I need a router as well ? I have no problem in connecting my laptop with sky broadband.
Please help how can i connect my N95 with it

Thanks

Hi, I also have sky broadband however I have the sky netgear wireless modem/router. If thats waht you are usuing also, then all you need to do is use the phone's wifi wizard and install the network key once it finds your SSID.

I had problems when I first tried to connect the N95 I had to my Sky router, but all I did was change the following:

Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > Options > Advanced Settings, & then set Automatic Configuration to "Disabled", this brings up more options. Leave all as is, apart from Power Saving which you should change to "Disabled".

This seemed to work for me.

Thanks guys,

I am still not able to connect.
I am just dying to use fring from my home network
it does show my home network and i search for WLAN network
but unable to connect or browse "Invalid WPA pre-shared key"
I would appreciate if you explain from scratch what settings do i need to make. etc.

Thanks

You need to enter your WPA key.

Earlier you said you had no security, clearly you do have security.

If you did not set the WPA key yourself then it may be on a sticker on the bottom of your modem/router. Or Sky will have informed you of it.
