Hello,
I'm thinking of getting an LG Viewty on Flex25 with std web'n'walk. If local coverage provides EDGE and 3G (HSDPA), which speed would be enabled, and how can I tell? I don't need more than the 1gb fair useage, and I don't want to use the phone for laptop access, hence the decision for std wnw.
Many thanks for any advise provided.
Tom :)

on standard web n walk you would get anything up to 384kb (3g)

HSDPA is not provisioned.

so I don't need to get web'n'walk plus for 3G?;)

I have a friend who is on Flext 35 with the standard W&W. He has a 6120c and when he downloads data it switches to 3.5g and the speeds are up to 1.8 meg. So as long as it has being switched on you should get HSDPA on the basic W&W

Thats because I only found out a short while ago. My friend has now got the 3.5g on his screen but the speeds have slowed down to normal 3G speeds.

thanks for all the good advice :) Some forums give little or no help!
Last 2 questions
- who do I ask for hsdpa to be provisioned is it TMob CS or the retailer?
- Is (3) Three with mixnmatch 300 (£15/mth) + £5 (Webmax on 'turbo') a better deal than Flex25 wnw on T-Mob i.e. is (3) coverage and support as good as TM?

My friend sent a email to T-Mobiles C/S dept to find out what was happening with HSDPA and W&W. He had a phone call today from C/S and was told that T-Mobile withdrew HSDPA from the basic W&W package a few weeks ago due to the limited amount of data. You can now get HSDPA on W&W plus and W&W Max.
If you contact C/S they can add this on for you.
