Cost of Internet use

hi people.....

Am sifting through the forums...while my nice new N95 charges....

Just a quick question about how much its costs to use the internet on the phone....I am on o2

My mate got one last week...and managed to connect his phone to his PC and then get on the web ( he currently has no phone line )

He said that the signal was one picked up from "someones wiressless" in the area.....Is that likely....or would it be the phones internet facility

Any information would be great

I don't think you can connect to someones WiFi on the N95 and then use that as your PC internet connection, so I would assume he's using his O2 data connection. It costs a small fortune if he doesn't have a data plan, about £3 per mb if I remember right.

Why not just connect directly from the PC to the wifi router? What's the point going round in circles?

Wifi dongles are less than a tenner.

As long as the wireless network is unsecured you can connect to it from your N95 & browse the internet for free, I do it at home & have even done it at a friends to show off
