my problems with o2 so far,
1/ after finally getting throw to o2 via an o2 shop i asked if all my calls were logged,to witch i was told "yes" i asked if that ment that calls to o2 were logged even if it was to an automatted service and again they said "yes". so i asked why a payment had been denied,to my amazement they told me that,"that call wasn't logged because i didnt make that call, does this mean i'm a lair?does this mean that my girlfriend didnt hear the call while sat besides me??
2/the following week i get two letters dated on the same day telling me i owe £90 something and another telling me i owe £167 something, finally after yet more calls my monthly £25 is changed to a weekly £10 charge(even tho i struggled to pay the £25 with changing jobs) Greet i think im finally getting somewhere, the following weeks payment doesnt get taken out for some reason?? instead 2weeks after the first payment (that they know im struggling to pay) they try and take out £395.44 of which i still have no notice of nore a bill for, the citizens advice are now on the case.
even tho they are unable to contact via phone they say im not the first person to be ripped off, so be warned joining o2 only means your paying to much for a non-exsistant service.
maybe now i'll get a responce.. anyone with similar experiences please email me @ nirvanamadpaul@hotmail.com
cheers paul.c

O2 are busy fixing the holes in that big tent in Greenwich, thats why we were all ripped off, Even the bloke that tried to steal diamonds with a JCB felt let down, about your contract with O2, the post you have made has no sense or direction, ask your girlfriend if she REALLY does listen to you?.

Please make your post more clear

Always always always stick to prepay

Contracts are a rip-off

yes. if you find yourself in one of these 'contracts' it's best to ride the storm, grin & bear it, make sure you tell them plenty in advance you want to stop & make sure they got that. why call a contract 12 or 18 months then keep charging you. bogus. this is not exclusive to o2 they're all like that. it amazes & bemuses me how on o2 payg you get rewards (i ain't complaining!) but on contract there is trouble. being an old fashioned sort i like to pay for what i use so if i get rewards i'm kinda feeling this is a gimmick & they were overcharging me, before giving me back my change!? with contracts all operators need to show they're being honest, hell i wouldn't mind if a contract ended at the end of it's term! it should be the customer who asks to renew, imo - the operator should never assume this. to me this is theft. truth be told, contracts often still work out cheaper than payg but customers just cannot trust their operators financially.

The other reason I stick to prepay is that I'm not keen on the direct debit system (I have a couple of credit cards, a pension and a loan that have to be paid in this way) but I'd rather not give companies access to my hard earned without my permission and its a bloody cheeek to be charged extra to settle your bill via credit or debit card or cheque just because of the so-called extra 'admin' involved

BS I say!!!!

Contract or Prepay?

Its always the consumer that will make the final choice, if u dont want a monthly bill, prepay would be the choice, makes sense, dont sign the agreement if your not happy.

Most examples are the consumer focuses on the free phone.
As soon as they get home, they open the box and start charging it, 30 mins later, they are bored watching it charge and have read the first 3 pages of the user guide and decided to phone there network operator and ask questions regarding, games, GPS and commonly the ON button. The other stuff is left until the first bill comes in.

I understand your concerns, regarding your dd fee, CHAPS is an option for you, stick to what your happy with, if you feel unsure or pressured or finnacially challenged, walk away.

finance first, shiny gadget for 'free' second

I actually think retailers should be banned from calling these phones free because they aren't
