Hi
I've had my N95 8GB black for just over a week now, and I'm very happy with it apart from a niggling screen issue.
The bottom of the screen looks a bit odd - hard to explain but the bottom half centimetre or so looks like it has "floodlights" on it. Only shows up when the background is white, but is very noticeable. Its like black triangles on the white background, evenly spaced, as if some underlying illumination is not quite working right. Has anyone else noticed this? Do all N95 8gb's have it?
I took it into the vodafone shop, and the demo one there also had the same problem. The original N95's don't have it though.
Is it a "feature" or a fault, should I get a replacement before the 14 days trial period is up?

Perhaps they're dead or sleeping pixels?

Yeah I thought it's a Nokia feature too because all of them had this, some worse than others.
After a while I don't even notice it.

That just sounds like the backlighting of the panel you are seeing. I have noticed similar effects on laptops, LCD tvs etc - hard to say without seeing a picture of it. If its only on white backgrounds I cant imgine you get to notice it much? Unless you have a winter scene as you theme :-)

used to notice it a lot on the default vodafone theme as thats white, but now changed to nokia theme so better. It is also noticeable on any light or even non black background. Didnt notice it at all while watching spiderman 3 tho! Was great watching that on a phone even tho the film is rubbish!
