installing applications? where is best?

this also applies to the N95 8GB as well as the standard N95 i think!


when your installing applications (sis files)
where is the best place to install them so they run smoothly?
Phone Memory OR Memory Card?
or in the N95 8GB`s case, its internal 8GB memory

i wanted to know the same, as i would think it takes a tad more time to load from memory card?

I think I prefer memory card, and this is probably why I wont upgrade to the N95 8GB. For example all the pictures u take are stored on the memory card which can be removed and inserted in to card readers, or taken to Boots for developing.

Also if there was a fault with the phone and you had to send it back 2 network/shop, you could take out the memory card so that any personal data isn't left on the phone.

I think memory card does use up more battery and is slower, but I'd still prefer to have it.

Well photos & videos are defaulted to memory card anyway so that's where I store them too. I agree data files are fine on the memory card.

For installation of applications/games I would say internal because from past experience installing on memory card causes more problems, such as unable to remove certain software, unable to remove icons, firmware update problems etc. When you do a hard reset to fix problems at least it wipes the phone 'clean' instead of having to format both.

It's also a bit quicker.

Only install to phone mem.
