Heya guys,

I finally got out of my o2 contract it gets cancelled in 30 days and i get to keep the old n95 and i get the unlock code too. My old bill was working out at 80 quid a month and i just cudnt afford it.

Anyway what ive been considering doing now is selling my old n95 on CEX and going with the vodafone £35 tariff and maybe pay the 100 pound for the n95 8gb. Because realistically i dont think id get a better phone than the n95 apart from the new 8gb version..

Anyone know any better options or tariffs?

Thanks

I think the 8GB as better features though such as battery life and more ram. Or so ive heard lol

because the 8gb is considerably better than the standard N95?

your not gaining any extra ram with the n95 8gb, i had a look at one today in the vodaphone shop and didnt realise till then that they have removed the option to add a memmory card in the side of the phone. so with 8gb cards now available for the n95 your no better off. bit of a daft move on nokias part?

You're wrong there. RAM and the memory are two totally different things. The 8gb version has 128mb of RAM, with about 85mb free after a boot. the old N95 has 64mb of RAM with about 16-ish free after a boot.

that might be right munkimatt but to add 8gb to the new n95 and remove the option to add a memory card still seams a bit daft if you can now get memory cards that will give you this much anyway, thats what i was meaning.

Its for ease of use. Face it, not every single person who buys an N95 is going to go out and spunk £60+ on a memory card are they? For those people, the iPhone becomes a more attractive proposition because it's easy.

I'm not sure how you're looking at this, but to me this product makes perfect sense. It's a response to critisism of the original N95 but also an attack on the iPhone.
