I cannot seem to connect with Skype. I have just created a new account and then it asks me to press a key for latest upgrade. However, the phone does not seem to go beyond "Connecting". Any suggestions?

Hey, i had a customer with this the otherday. yo uneed to download the skype upgrade by entering planet3 >internet> then select skype logo. This should work. don't know why the phone won't connect the other way though. once you have done this use the application as normal.

What is to most up to date version of Skype (iSkoot) application for S60 v3?

Im sure this sounds like a stupid question, but how do I get into planet3>internet I cant find a link to this anywhere?>?<>?< :eek:

Skype is one of the few apps which install on three fine. Are you using generic firmware?
I've never had an update prompt, do u actually have skype installed, i suggest you try skype on your pc, so you can test your account is working first. Once that is done, if you browse to planet three>internet
you should find a skype link to download and install under communications or something like that. This should install fine as long as you can get to the page this means your connection settings are fine.
The rest is just start the app & select i already have an account, it should simply connect within a minute or so, it doesn't connect immediately but should do soon enough took about 40 seconds when i tried it.
Good luck with that, ive found skype is one of the easier more trouble free apps, or you could also try iskoot. The difference is iskoot will use some of your internet data from you xseries allowace, while skype will not take your data as its a seperate allowance.

I've been using Skype without a single problem before the version upgrade. It just prompted me to accept the new upgrade and after the upgrade I can't login . It keeps displaying "Signing in" and won't go beyond that. :(
