How come o2 is the only UK network yet to get the V.12 software?
I have been in touch with customer services and they cannot let me know why. Even though o2 is selling phones with V.12 software in their stores, they cannot give me a reason why they have not sent it through to Nokia for the update site.
I am a little unwilling to debrand, I would have thought it fairly straightforward to send a bit of software over the Net...

I wouldn't worry too much about v12, v2x will be launching soon with many improvements.

Indeed, but how long do you think it'll be before that's rolled out across the networks? ;)

Maybe 2009? You would think Nokia will try to push it out quick considering Ngage is pre-installed.

Probably because everyone in every bloody department is working flat out to make sure the release of the iphone goes smoothly!
In fact, I got told by CS the other day, that charging for video calls had been delayed until the New Year, because they had not had time to implement the necessary system changes because they are all maxed out on iphone stuff!!
So video calls still come out of bundled minutes for pay monthly customers!

o2 are always lax with stuff like that, sure when everyone was getting free GPRS off o2 it was cuz their system that billed it wasnt set up, so a 3 month promo actually ended up being like 6 months of free gprs, lol

This is true for O2? I've stopped video calling since September!
