Hi all, Ive just got my new N95 and am putting anice big memory card in it for photos and vids etc, songs and stuff. I had a 6280 before this and i could sub divide everything into folders really simply, ie pics of my son, days out, certain subjects etc etc, but this N95 seems to dump them all in the same place, ie on the gallery so im getting random videos and pics all over my gallery, can you help me at all with this to folder them out to store them?
Many thanks
Mark

you can assign pictures and videos to different albums.
In the gallery, mark all the pics you want to add to an album, options -> add to album.
You can then view by albums so you only see days out pics or sons pics etc

Thanks, ive tried that, and it still shows everything in the gallery, how do we have the gallery in either item or album view? i have gone in and viewed albums but id like the gallery to come up with the albums in the first instance, is that possible?

i dont think so, but here's a workaround:
if you want to use the gallery, i can't help. if you want to browse for and display a pic, heres an alternative: nokia search 4.0
open Search (i put a shortcut to it as my left softkey)
-> scroll down to images
-> scroll right
-> scroll to the album you want
-> scroll right
now you're looking at thumbnails of all the images in this album. from here, click on any item to view it.
i like this tool better than the front end for Calendar, Gallery, Landmarks, music, pretty-much-everything-in-the-device. i think i like it so much because it lets me search easily, but maybe it's just the smaller fonts and information density on the screen that i like.
good luck
