Hey all

Why dont we all mail O2 and ask for full web access, that way they know we want it?

My gf is on payg on o2 and has full internet access through opera mini. I just pointed her phone's browser at there site and downloaded it. I'm always confused by people saying they can't access the web from payg.

crikey! it works, when did this happen? is it christmas already?

believe, this never used to work, could only get o2 active (which is wap over gprs thru' their 'fun' portal) even orange payg had a brief spell a year or so ago of blocking opera mini!

hope it continues!

That's the confusing thing, i set it up for my gf ages ago- prob around this time last year, and she has never had a problem using it. It's only looking at forums recently that i've seen people talking about payg users only having access to o2 Active, i've always just assumed everyone could access the full net on opera!

perhaps they just allow it on 3g sim cards, i wonder what other operators cards were / are, on payg, 2.5g (GSM & GPRS) or 3g? or is this the result of an ailing i-mode service?

Reckon it could be a result of the i-mode flop.

Anyone used Opera mini on an SE K800i as I just bought one.

Not sure why I-mode took off in Japan considering that they have 100 Mbps+ broadband.

It was basically WAP on duff steroids.

yep the new opera mini works fine on o2 payg, pretty much all i use, even for hotmail. the zoom window, mouse & working links make it a superb browser, maybe one day they can read online pdf in the same manner?
