Russia : MegaFon announced the launch of 3G telecommunications services in St Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
On October 24, 2007, MegaFon, while realizing license for rendering IMT–2000/UMTS mobile services, starts rendering 3G services on the territory of St Petersburg and Leningrad Region. MegaFon is the first among Russian GSM-operators to offer unique advantages of 3G mobile telecommunications to its subscribers.
