Hello.
I have been with T-Mobile since June, I was with O2 before. I joined T-Mobile for Web-n-Walk, the O2 data tariff is surprisingly expensive.
I find 3G Web-n-Walk excellent and when connected, call quality is very good. I think the Vario is a great phone too.
My problem is that when I receive an incoming call, pressing either the software or hardware green "telephone" button on my Vario 2, there is a 50% chance that the call will be rejected or accepted.
Recently, I have also found that calls break or drop after one or two minutes and sometimes as soon as the person I have called has answered.
I am on my 3rd phone, 2nd sim-card and have, apparently, had a system reset.
The T-Mobile technician I spoke to yesterday suggested I try switching from auto (3G/GSM) to GSM to see if it is the 3G signal which is the problem. I don't know if that will work yet. I don't want to lose the 3G speed.
I have colleagues also on T-Mobile and on other networks who have no problems with calls on 3G although they don't have the Vario.
Anyone got any helpful suggestions? Is this just me or is it a wider problem?
Thanks.
