Hello.

I have been with T-Mobile since June, I was with O2 before. I joined T-Mobile for Web-n-Walk, the O2 data tariff is surprisingly expensive.

I find 3G Web-n-Walk excellent and when connected, call quality is very good. I think the Vario is a great phone too.

My problem is that when I receive an incoming call, pressing either the software or hardware green "telephone" button on my Vario 2, there is a 50% chance that the call will be rejected or accepted.

Recently, I have also found that calls break or drop after one or two minutes and sometimes as soon as the person I have called has answered.

I am on my 3rd phone, 2nd sim-card and have, apparently, had a system reset.

The T-Mobile technician I spoke to yesterday suggested I try switching from auto (3G/GSM) to GSM to see if it is the 3G signal which is the problem. I don't know if that will work yet. I don't want to lose the 3G speed.

I have colleagues also on T-Mobile and on other networks who have no problems with calls on 3G although they don't have the Vario.

Anyone got any helpful suggestions? Is this just me or is it a wider problem?

Thanks.

I have experienced similiar, can I ask if are running windows mobile 5 or 6?

Also, what radio version you are using?

I have found if i set the phone to use WCMDA only as the network, the problem disappears.

Radio ROM 1.41 seems to be very stable on the Vario II. I've run that one along with Windows 6 for some time with no problems at all

Sorry for the delay in responding.

I have been trying a Vario 3 (which is brilliant) but I still have the same problems. ROM vers 1.56, Radio version 1.27 and WM6.

I have tried downgrading to GSM & GPRS from 3G which cured the rejected calls and dropped calls but, of course, is much slower browsing.

It would seem to be 3G which is causing the problems.

I don't know anyone else with similar problems, any ideas? I don't know if it is a handset issue or network problem with my account??

I came back from holiday 10 days ago & didn't turn my voicemail back on and it hasn't rejected a call since. I haven't got on to T-Mobile to find out what they have to say but I will.

I still think the Vario 3 (TyTnII) is an amazing phone.

I believe this is now resolved.

My voice mail was, apparently, corrupted and this was making my service unreliable.

They deleted my old mail box (twice) and restarted a new one with a new voicemail number and all seems OK now.

I still think the Vario 3 (TyTnII) is a fantastic phone.
