Hi all im new here so i hope i have written in the write place.
i want to the 3 shop today to ask when the k850 will be in and they said november.
i am due for an upgrade by 3 in november and im just wondering if i should hang on or go to another provider.
i have had no probs with them apart from they tried to charge me the full price on my account after 12 months.
i phoned them up they said sorry .as they said they did not give discounts over the phone.strange they cant read either or under stand english.they have given me a £90 credit wow i thought.Found out they now charge u tax if u introduce more then 2 friends.
so should i stay or go.There not that bad or have i just been very lucky ?

Hi in answer to ur question ,the 850i should be out mid nov so a 3 representative said on the phone a few nights ago ,but then that could be dangaling the carrott to get me to stay with them on my upgrade lol .

the n95 in a candy bar looks very nice.but who knows if 3 will get this one.i guess they should as they have the n95.my boss has the new k850i and to be honest the pic looks better the the phone in real.oh my what a chopics this could be hmmmmmmmm lol

I'm actually still torn between the U990 & the K850

Heard both sides of the arguments from both camps, but think I'll try the 850, and if not happy, go with the U990

But the K850 looks so nice. Silly i know but the screen look with the top part of the phone just looks really well designed.

What will i keep?....i think im going to say il keep the U990 but thats MY opinion, everyone else has their personal preference.

Best bet is wait a few days til the K850 is in store, go in and sit down with someone and use them both for a bit. You will know within about 2 minutes which you prefer

Yeah I can usually tell within 30 seconds if I'll like a phone or not, and having had the k800 for 18 months, and being a bit of a SE fan, I've been looking forward to the 850 for a while.

But had a play with the U990 last week and really liked it and know that LG phone interfaces are very similar to SE anyway (although I expect the 990 to differ in that respect).

Am I right in thinking it may be instore early next week then??? ;)

Hi all just phoned the sales team as if new customer and asked for a k850i,was a scottish accent which was a pleasant surprise,they said they had sold out and where getting some in soon.Was told yestersday by upgrade team in india they will be in end of the month.strange i dont know any one on 3 with one of these phones yet.Played with the new lg in shop yesterday and really am not sure about the phone hmmmmm.Oh well patience in is a virtue i guess lol

Just spoke to a 3 customer service rep who says the K850i is released on the 19th.

Does anyone know if dealers such as Phones 4U get the phone on 3 at the same time? I prefer to get the phone from a store (easy returns if required etc) and there is no 3 store in town.

spoke to sales guy in three shop today and he is saying that the k850i will be in shop by the 20th.He said thats if the firmware goes on the phone ok.There have been some real problems with this new phone and three say that they are keen to iron out all of these problems before they send them out to people to avoid dissapointing people.
Also found out that they had a Nokia guy in the shop and it looks as if the nokia n82 wont be coming to three but stranger things have happened.shame as i am a nokia guy but perhap its time for a change.my upgrade is due next week . so i dont think i will swap phone companys for a n82 as most of them dont offer the same good tariffs and internet deals.Also i have only ever had 2 problems with three and they resolved these with in minutes.

Have to say I've never known as much messing around or as little communication between one ruddy company.

Now I'm a fan of three, always have been but I'm getting sick of the delays with this phone. I still can't get the viewty and no-one from three is prepared to be up front about release dates for the 850.

You speak to CS 'its being released in November' you speak to online chat 'we have no dates' you speak to one shop 'ooh its january' you speak to another 'its due in on the 20th'

Now the shop that said the 20th on friday are now saying 'hopefully this week'

Come on three, get your act together. This is doing my nut in. All I want is a release date (or a viewty back in stock!)

Well just got a call from 3 to say they'd got a limited stock of LG Viewty's and did I want one.

Crap upgrade deal (didn't include 2000 free mins I got last month as an offer) but not bothered, as I like my contract etc. Given up on the k850 even tho it might be released tomorrow. At least this way I have a viewty on the way, and have 14 days for the k850 to come out to return the viewty if I want

Just to let you know, I've just spoken to web chat customer service adviser and they've gone from telling me it would be out today to now saying it'll be out the last week in November. Customer service on the phone still have no record of when the phone will be released as it isn't on their system.

So now I'm fed up waiting for 3, and rather annoyed at their unwillingness to confirm a date - surely such things need to be agreed at least a few weeks in advance rather than still being unsure the SAME DAY as stated release (as was the case when I spoke to webchat this morning), so I'm going to go get it on O2 instead.

Just phoned up the 3 shop and the k850i has now been put back to the end of next week i guess there having more problems sorting the bugs out.hope they do as then we wont have to keep taking it back unlike some other ppl i know .They wished they had never bought the phone and are really getting rather anoyed that a company could let such a bad phone hit the market with all these problems hey.Its like use the humans as a test bench and dont give them anything in return.I am a nokia man and i really hope this wait is worth it lol

According to the staff in my local 3store today, the reason for the delay now is that Sony Ericsson have failed to deliver their order to 3 on time.

Not sure if this is true or if 3 are trying to put the blame on someone else. I'm really tempted to ask for my PAC code and get it on another network

I just had a call from 3 saying they've got them in limited stock and asking if I wanted to upgrade. They are doing different tarrifs (ie not mix mand match) and the best deal he could offer me was £35 a month for 900 mins/texts but on top of this he wanted a £70 charge for the phone! At this point I told him he could shove the phone up his backside and that I'm off to Vodaphone where I can get the phone for free. Honestly, 3 need to learn something about customer loyalty.

And boy have they tightened up renewal details since last year !

You guys are right. Three really are not giving them away. I ordered one for £110 on a 12-month tariff. I was sick of waiting for the phone and what they offered me was marginally better than T-mobile's current offers so I took it (but after hard negotiation).
For £25 per month with Three, I now get:
300 mins
750txts (150 is standard but I got 500 extra as a 'loyalty' bonus)
25 mins video
50 mms
£5 download allowance.

The £110 for the phone was a bit hard to swallow. They were prepared to give it to me for £60 if I took a £35 tariff.

Well just got mine from 3 for a free upgrade. Carry on my current package £30 month 18month 1000 texts 300 minutes calls 50 mms 50 mins video calls plus they give me extra 500 texts each month for free. I read the reviews and can say that the software three have put on and the way the phone works is brilliant. Ive had no problems with the phone at all. It is a superb upgrade to my k800i and even better than k810i in my opioin anyway. The touch buttons work brill just wish the whole screen was touch sensitive. Superb phone:cool:
