As the title says, I've been trying to get some add-ons to my 3togo tarrif.
I need modem use of my phone for a while, but don't want to sign up to a new mobile broadband account because I don't need it for 12 months - after a few months I want to change to x-series silver so I can still browse and read email on my phone.
Called 3CS, who kept insisting mobile broadband wasn't compatible with my phone, a 6680. I understand the 6680 doesn't do hsdpa, but it does work as a modem on normal 3g speeds. I don't live in hsdpa coverage anyway, so who cares? :)
They kept insisting it wasn't compatible and just reeled off the list hsdpa phones. So I gave up on the mobile broadband and just asked for x-series silver for phone use. They then insisted the 6680 wasn't x-series compatible either. When I directed them to the compatibility table on their website that lists the 6680 I was put on hold for a couple of minutes, and they returned and said they couldn't add anything because my *account* was incompatible, and then tried everything they could to make me upgrade and switch tarrif.
After 44mins on the phone I felt like I was getting the run around, especially with being put on hold before another excuse was given to not let me have the add on. :(
Can anyone shed any light? Or better still, does anyone have x-series or mobile broadband with 3togo?
Cheers! :)
