Hi, Is anybody else using a Nokia 6288 and is unable to turn off the "packet data" session, so always have the G symbol within the box at the top of the screen? I am very concerned that i am being charged for this but don't know how to turn it off. Any replies received gratefully.
With 3 the packet data is always on, as with 3 some of their web content is free.
When you enter a section of their web site or choose a down load that is a paid for service you should get a warning page or box saying that you are entering or about to download content that you will have to pay extra.
When downloading content like music or a game the page will show how much the charge is.
While you can now browse the www web with 3, I don't know when you access the web if you get a warning message about being charged, as on my account I have blocked web access.
