How do I format my N95? Please help?

Does anyone know how to wipe the firmware off the N95? I'm not talking about a hard reset or factory settings, I mean wipe the whole thing clean.

I am awaiting the arrival of my E90 Communicator as this N95 is faullty, it's only v12 software that has caused the camera to flicker in low light. I'm sending the phone back but would like to try and restore it to the original o2 v11 firmware. I am not worried about bricking the phone as o2 will repair the handset anyway.

Can anyone help as I want to restore it???????:( :( :(

PS. There must be someone out there who has achieved this!

Since the only way to flash the firmware as an end user is to use Nokia Software Updater and that will not flash to a lower firmware version, I think you're out of luck. I wish they'd allowed you to downgrade too.

Thanks, i'll send it back. O2 will send it out as a reconditioned handset. It's a shame as this being the eighth one i've had was great up until 2 weeks ago.

Oh well, i'll just have to go through however many E90's to get a good one!

If you have debranded then you can't 'go back'.
If you haven't then reflash with the latest firmware for your network provider and leave the phone like that.
