I've got a Voda N95 that I flashed to generic firmware back in April. I'm planning to upgrade to the latest version, but am concerned about losing data. Messages, phonebook entries and pictures I can back up with ease, but what of games that I've purchased and installed - is there any easy way to back these up?
Sorry if this has been asked before - I had a good look though the threads and couldn't find an answer.

I may be mistaken but I was under the impression that the backing up facility in the nokia supplied pc suite does this.
The games will be saved and restored with your backup. :)

hey there,
as a slight bit of advice, i had the same thought as you when upgrading the firmware.. i wanted to keep all games/messages etc so i used pc suite to back everything up. i then installed the latest firmware 12.0.013 and restored from the backup. hey presto! games contacts messages settings all fine...
however...
i then went to use the internet (via GPRS) and connect through the same access point ive been using for months (Orange Internet for reference) the phone just point blank refused to connect saying 'conection not available'. i then tryed to have the settings re-sent to me from orange and the phone said 'text message format not supported'!!
i had enough and re-installed the firmware to start from scratch, and everything seems fine. it seems theres an issue with backup and restoreing. in the end i just transferd my messages to my memory card and backup up photos and contacts to my pc.. but ive had to lose the games i had.. i trully hope you dont have the same issue, but i thought it was worth pointing out to you...
best of luck!
I have no faith whatsoever in using backup/restore across a debrand or firmware update.
There seem to be too many issues and in any case starting from scratch gives the phone the best possible starting position. Install your apps and games to phone mem will keep things running as stable and as quick as possible.
Sync everthing you can first as this does no harm.
