Is there anyway of unlocking a 6288 without contacting 3 or sending it away.

Lucky me, I was walking along the other night. I found a 6288, being the lovely person I am, i've decided to keep it as a spare phone. The shameful thing is, it's locked to 3 :( I can't exactly contact em as it's not my phone and i don't wanna be paying 25 quid just to send it away. I'll pay up to 15 but that's it. I'm not buying any fake dodgy codes or spending 400 quid on a bb5 box. I just want my phone able to take my vodafone sim, if my k800 decides to go.

There is no point in getting it unlocked as the phone will be probably have been barred as it would be most likely have been reported as lost.

The best thing to do would be to contact the network that the phone belongs to and / or hand it into a police station.
