Probably means 3 have activated HSDPA on the cells where you are....they are gradually doing this to all cells. Enjoy faster browsing!

I'm getting 3.5G on my N95 too....but it's hardly fast! I have the TV add-on which I used to enjoy and now the streaming keeps stopping and starting, making it unbearable to watch!! 3.5G sucks...

I use a Nokia E90 with xseries silver and recently it showed I was on 3.5g. The experience was far from satisfying, stopping and starting, pages took longer to load than normal 3g.

Anyway switched off HSDPA on my phone and the pages came through fast and furious.

Maybe the 3.5g product only works well for dongles at the moment :cheeky:

On the E90, in order to turn off HSDPA, you do the following:

Go to menu

Select tools

Select settings

Select connection

Select packet data

Toggle enable/disable for HSDPA

I've noticed that the option only exists when the phone is connected to a 3G network...i.e. not when its roaming on Orange.

Hope this helps for the N95.
