just been billed for using wap 24hrs a day?
apparantly my phone is automatically connecting to the WAP every 5, 10 , 15 , 30 minutes.
the guys at vodafone said disable email auto browsing.
any ideas where this is in the n95

In Messaging, Options > Settings > E-mail > Mailboxes > (choose the/a mailbox you use) > Automatic retrieval. Ensure that both notifications and retrieval are set to 'Disabled'. You should repeat that for all the mailboxes you have.
Also, back from the main device menu, go to Tools > Settings > Connection > Packet data, and make sure 'Packet data connection' is set to 'When needed'. This probably isn't the problem, but it's a good idea anyway.
I'm rather surprised that you're talking about being billed for a particular time-based usage of WAP, though. Both the phone and the network support GPRS and I don't know why WAP should be used at all - with GPRS you pay for however much data was transferred, not how long you were connected for.
sorry you were right the bill is for data downloaded.
no email accounts in messaging now.
