Locking the phone

I have my phone set to lock after 10mins. Is there a predetermined number of attemps that can be made before it locks out for good? Or could someone keep entering the incorrect code?

I'm wanting to lock my work colleagues out, thats all.

5 attempts, then even if you enter the right code it won't accept it for a minute or two. Then the time gets longer the more you try.
