Which data setting do I use and how do they differ?

Can anyone describe the difference between the "3" and "3MMS" data settings?

I have installed Opera so which setting should I use for it? I see that the built-in browser uses the "3" setting.

Also what should I use for pop3 email access either via the built-in email client or via the Google Mail and Google maps apps that I have downloaded. Does it make a difference?

I am running a 6120 Classic by the way.

"3" is for data and "3MMS" is for you picture messages, if you select 3MMS for Opera etc it won't work..
